We don't run precone in daily backup its auto schedule.If you run preclone before(let us say 3 months ago) and during those days there were no patching etc. i belive you can try clone. But i suggest if you take daily backup( I assume you are taking cold backup) now run preclone while your system is running than use this backup for can be sure.
Can we still clone test instace from such backup ?
